help page A simple step by step guide to ordering name badges using our website overview Our website should allow you to view samples of our previous work, see possible design options and upload your logo to us. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the order process - samples 1. samples The first stage in any order of customised name badges (where your logo appears on the badge) is usually to send us a good copy of your logo. If you are doing this by post you should send us your letterhead, compliment slip or brochure. If you have your logo on computer, go to our 'upload page' where you can transfer your logo to us digitally. Should you have any specific requests regarding the sample design, e.g. typefaces or backgrounds, please mention this in the other comments section, otherwise we will provide you with the most appropriate selection of design options for your logo and company sector. Samples are normally despatched within 3-5 days of receiving the logo. (n.b. faxes do not provide sufficiently high quality to produce a good sample badge, so please do not fax your logo) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the order process - approval 2. approval When you receive your samples, choose one and let us know immediately which design you want. Alternatively, should you require further samples, contact us with the relevant amendments. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the order process - ordering 3. ordering Once you have selected your final design, ordering badges is a simple formality. We need two things, a) a clearly typed list of names, titles etc. and b) payment. Lists must be supplied via email. Payment can be made by cheque or by credit card over the telephone. Payment may be made by Mastercard, Visa or Switch, nb visa and mastercard payments carry a 5% surcharge. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- design elements - backgrounds 1. backgrounds The selection of background options displayed on our website is only a snapshot of the endless possibilities available using our unique production process. If you want to match or contrast a specific colour, pattern or design, wood, textiles, metals liquids etc. However complex or bizarre the background we can do it! Then again 'plain old white' never fails to look the part. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- design elements - layouts 2. layouts Elements commonly found on name badges include company logos, names and titles. As Tiffany Badges are composed digitally, any element can be scaled, moved or aligned in any number of ways. Photos of buildings can be effectively converted into line art drawings. Text can be made to flow on a curve or disappear into the distance. Each design will vary, depending on the logo and the other details required. Upon receiving your logo we will produce a range of samples usually based around the most appropriate layout for that size & shape of logo, varying the colour and alignment of the other elements within the badge. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- design elements - typefaces 3. typefaces Typefaces can have an incredible effect on the look of a badge and a corporate image. While some typefaces project in image of professionalism and efficiency, others can suggest an air of up-market opulence. The range we have displayed on this website is only some of the more popular styles from a range of several thousand at our disposal. If there is a particular style or image you are looking to project let us know, there will almost certainly be one typeface which will do the job better than most. Typefaces may be mixed on each badge, in terms of style, weight, colour, size and case. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the 'call-off' system explained the call-off system The Call-off system is a simple method of ordering which reduces your administration costs and enables you to request badges in any quantity, anytime without penalty. You simply order more badges than you currently need. Try to build in to your order a decent 'cushion' to cover your organisation in the event of 'new staff', 'promoted staff', 'changed names' or simply the occasional lost badge! This will save you money in the long run. Also, if the number of badges is close to the next price break, say you need 43 badges, you would actually save £11.30 by ordering 51 badges, due to the price break. We take care of the administration too. With each consignment sent out, we enclose a 'call-off' report showing exactly where you stand. It details every order drawn from the 'call-off' quantity and shows you how many badges you still have left in the system. There is no time limit on call-off systems, as we keep a permanent record of your badge design archived on CD-ROM. |
